| | Inevitably, most of the activities here will center around the beaches, the sea and the islands. Boats to the various islands can be rented easily from various spots on the beaches including the pier at Victory Beach. Dive operators will arrange scuba-diving and snorkeling trips to nearby Koh Tas, and Koh Khteah. Scuba Nation Diving Center on Serendipity beach is the only PADI five-star dive center in Cambodia and conducts classes in English, Swedish, French and Dutch.
On Otres, a small sailboat, canoe or kayak can be rented. For a different form of exercise, bicycling is a good way to get around and guesthouses and bookshops including Mister Heinz Books will rent them at US$2 per day.

| Penny Slots For those feeling that Lady Luck is smiling on them, the casinos have penny slot machines. Day trips can easily be made to the Kbal Chhay waterfalls, the Steung Hay Fishing Village where there are at least a hundred boats, or taking a ranger-guided boat trip around the mangrove swamps in Ream National Park.
There are several new and colorful wats around town. Wat Leu sits on a mountain overlooking the beaches. Its vihear has colorful paintings depicting the life of Buddha and behind it is a Chinese cemetery. Wat Krom is unusual in that it is dedicated to a local deity. | | | Volunteer for a Cause Many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are looking for volunteers. Starfish Project gives door-to-door assistance to Cambodians who are unable to help from formal organizations. Income from its bakery and café go to get medical care, microloans and housing to those who need it.
Starfish also trains the blind and disabled in western massage therapies and offers a choice of Khmer, Thai, foot and head massages. Treatments are around US$6 per hour. | |
